1/3

I really have no favorite topics but one of the topics that I feel that it's important to know as a citizen is everything about the voting system in the US. I really believe that people should be aware of how everything works and how the process escalates into becoming president of the US. In that lesson I found out a lot of things that I did not know about like how there is a process, like for example: first is the Nomination which is the official endorsement of a candidate by a party, then it's the Preliminary in which a the final candidates for presidency are elected. After that comes the primary election and that election is opened to all, no matter of what party you are registered with. The last three are the closed primary elections, the Caucus, and the General election. The closed primary elections is the one that is only opened to those registered as party members. The Caucus is a meeting in which members of a particular political party select candidates for presidential nomination. The last and final one is the general election in which the main election is held between the winners of the various primary elections.
