Economics Final Project: Blog

3/3 The last topic that was discussed in my economics class was the whole stock market thing. I did not know nothing about it. In that lesson we as a class learned how it worked. A stock market can be easily defined as a stock exchange between others. the way it works is by traders and investors buying and selling the stock of a company on the exchange. Now the company in which your buying the stocks from doesn't receive any money from this type of trade, it still receives money from the IPO. The stock market is a good way to invest your money because if you are smart about it could really benefit you economically. In that lesson we also started playing a game in which we go through a simulation on how the whole stock market works and it was a very cool experience. My team which went by the name Stock finesses were in first place a couple of times and it was cool to see how it all worked.

2/3 Another topic discussed in my Government/economics class was everything about civics. Civics is the study of the rights, duties and responsibilities as a U.S. citizen. Before that lesson I didn't know much about this but in this lesson I learned the various Duties and Responsibilities as a citizen. The duties as a citizen vary from the obvious like following the law, paying taxes, Defending the nation: registering for selective service. And other things like serving in courts in courts and another simple one like having to go to school until the age of 16. I one does not follow these duties one can get in serious trouble. You can either have to pay a fine or go to jail for not having done your duties as a US citizen. The other set are the civic responsibilities, those are the things that one should just be aware of, like it's not mandatory but it's recommended to do so. 1/3 I really have no favorite topics but one of the topics that I feel that it's important to know as a citizen is everything about the voting system in the US. I really believe that people should be aware of how everything works and how the process escalates into becoming president of the US. In that lesson I found out a lot of things that I did not know about like how there is a process, like for example: first is the Nomination which is the official endorsement of a candidate by a party, then it's the Preliminary in which a the final candidates for presidency are elected. After that comes the primary election and that election is opened to all, no matter of what party you are registered with. The last three are the closed primary elections, the Caucus, and the General election. The closed primary elections is the one that is only opened to those registered as party members. I have many great moments in my life with my fellow friends from Simon Tech High School. But one of my most favorite moments was when we went to a trip to knots berry farm and well going there is pretty much a cool experience itself because it's fun, but that day was a funny day because like a couple of friends had put their money in my backpack along with sweaters and other belongings. And so we're there and we decide3 to go eat at a Mac Donald's that it's right outside the park, and so we're there and we choose to buy the Mickey D's pack. We each decide to pitch in but all the money is in my backpack. So as it's almost time to pay I get my backpack and pay but with money that was just from one of the person. And so that happened and later in the park I also bought some other things and used his money too. In my last year in Simon Tech, as a senior, my favorite moment was when I found out that I had gotten accepted to the college that I wanted to go to. I really have wanted to attend CSULA after high school and when I found out I had gotten accepted I was happy. I found out on March 10nth on my fourth period and when I saw the Email I got up and was like "finally". After that  started gotten emails about my portal and what not and was really exited to start doing all those things as I transition from high school to college. Another reason that I was happy and exited to go to that college was because some of my good friends are going there. I have a couple of friends that I know that are going there and well that's good to know because I won't be going to a college where I don't know anyone. And well the last and final reason that that day was my favorite day was because that day a graduate friend that I Know from CSULA mentioned that she would help me get a job ...

As a senior student in Mr. Rocha's Government/Economics class, One of my favorite moments in his class was when mostly the entire senior class was upset at him because they believed that Mr Rocha had Jinxed Trump's presidency win. At the time weeks before while the election was upcoming, Mr Rocha would always joke around about how Donald Trump was his best friend and what not, and that He was the best candidate and that he was going to win presidency. After the whole election was made and Trump had won the next day Rocha was just getting mad dogged by people and It was just so funny to see how he reacted.
