As a senior student in Mr. Rocha's Government/Economics class, One of my favorite moments in his class was when mostly the entire senior class was upset at him because they believed that Mr Rocha had Jinxed Trump's presidency win. At the time weeks before while the election was upcoming, Mr Rocha would always joke around about how Donald Trump was his best friend and what not, and that He was the best candidate and that he was going to win presidency. After the whole election was made and Trump had won the next day Rocha was just getting mad dogged by people and It was just so funny to see how he reacted.
2/3 Another topic discussed in my Government/economics class was everything about civics. Civics is the study of the rights, duties and responsibilities as a U.S. citizen. Before that lesson I didn't know much about this but in this lesson I learned the various Duties and Responsibilities as a citizen. The duties as a citizen vary from the obvious like following the law, paying taxes, Defending the nation: registering for selective service. And other things like serving in courts in courts and another simple one like having to go to school until the age of 16. I one does not follow these duties one can get in serious trouble. You can either have to pay a fine or go to jail for not having done your duties as a US citizen. The other set are the civic responsibilities, those are the things that one should just be aware of, like it's not mandatory but it's recommended to do so.
